A Little About
Evexia Treatment and Recovery Center
Evexia Treatment and Recovery Center ltd (ETRC) is a dream by two mental health practitioners (Dr. Margaret Njoroge, PhD, Psychology and Prof. Catherine Mwenda, PhD, Psychiatric Nursing), who, in the process of their practice established a need for a professionally ran rehab and recovery center. With the help from National Authority for the Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA), Evexia Treatment and Recovery Center was started.
The center is an Addiction and a Mental Health facility situated in an ambient environment overlooking the Ngong’ Hills. It is duly registered as a private limited company and fully inspected by the Public Health Sector of Kajiado. The center opened its doors in August 2020 in the mid of Covid-19 pandemic.

Our Services
In-patient Programs
Medically Monitored Detoxification
Detoxing from drugs/alcohol is delicately monitored by a qualified doctor and 24 hour nursing staff.
Psychiatric Consultation
Clients are evaluated for co-occurring psychiatric disorders that need to be treated along with their addiction.
Individual Psychotherapy
Individual psychotherapy is geared at helping clients deal with their specific psychological needs, and root cause of substance use.
Group Therapy
Clients support each other in group sessions, addressing issues around their addiction such as Denial, Powerlessness and Damages.
Family Support Group
The program offers a supportive treatment group where family members can learn about addiction and how to tackle it.
Written assignments
Patients complete written assignments on topics such as gratitude, step work, guilt, shame, and powerlessness.
Relapse Prevention
After in-house treatment, clients may be tempted to use drugs. They are prepared to overcome pressure and maintain their sobriety.
Out-patient programs
Psychological Reviews
Family Support Programs, Aftercare Services, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Employee Support Programs, and any other psychological issues.
Psychiatric Reviews
Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorders, Schizophrenia, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), and Conduct Disorders.

The In-Patient Programme is an individually tailored 13 weeks in line with NACADA guidelines on residential treatment program that provides treatment for the problem drinker/alcoholic or drug user away from their usual work or family environment. In our safe and supportive recovery community, the individual has the opportunity to regain their physical and psychological health through participating in individual and group cognitive behavioral therapy sessions.
Our In-Patient treatment model is 12-step based and includes a variety of evidence based treatment modalities (i.e, Cognitive Behavioral therapy), including medically monitored detoxification.
